This “feast of love” has a star cast ensemble that features Aditya Roy Kapur, famed for his blockbuster success film 'Aashiqui 2'; leaving girls brokenhearted over his portrayal of Rahul Jaykar, a successful singer who fails to find inspiration in music while battling alcoholism until he meets a girl who changes his life.
Parineeti Chopra, the bubbly actress known for her versatile roles in films like 'Hasee Toh Phasee' where she played the role of Meeta, a zany character who is filled with odd quirks, and 'Shuddh Desi Romance' as Gayatri, a girl afraid of serious commitments, will be seen on screen for the first time opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor.
'Daawat-e-Ishq' Movie Still Featuring Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapoor
Veteran actor, Anupam Kher who now hosts a famous interview show, 'The Anupam Kher Show' on Colors TV will also be shown in a supporting role.
The film encompasses ‘Gulrez’ (Parineeti Chopra) as a shoes-salesgirl from Hyderabad who feels indifferent towards love after encountering marriage proposals from men only seeking her hand in hopes of a large dowry. When ‘Gulrez’ meets ‘Tariz’(Aditya Roy Kapur), a cook from Lucknow known for his charming ways, cultures clash as they find themselves enthralled in a love-hate relationship.
