We're back with days two and three highlights at the tents in Pecaut Square, where a mythical creature was the muse, prints and jewel tones inspired the recreation of a '70s vibe and industrial is so chic!

Mermaids and sexuality were the inspiration behind Helder Diego’s Under the Sea spring/summer collection 2016 on day two at the tents. Models walked the runway in sleek wet tresses and smokey eyes, which were complementary for a palette of water hues, lilac, aqua and sultry for deep tones of midnight black and silver. Some favourites were an all-white ensemble with an asymmetrical-cut mini, a multi-coloured tank dress and a stunning, shimmering metallic gown.

A clear standout collection on day three was Hilary MacMillan’s SS16 collection. Tanzanian prints and rich hues of violet, emerald and gold graced the runway to the funky sounds of a live funk band. My collection favourites were the printed tunics, an emerald peacock print dress and the maxi shirt dress. A definite staple for the spring.

A crowd favourite and highly anticipated show, Mackage's SS 16 collection did not disappoint. Inspired by utilitarian surfaces, stripped-back architecture and a new look deemed "industrial chic,". The Montreal designers featured structured moto jackets, layered, perforated leather dresses and pencil skirts. My favourites: the perforated black and white trench, the men’s studded all-in-one and the women’s navy classic trench.
