Victoria 1836
France has, for years, been a tourist destination where visitors from all over the world visit. Visitors total around 85 million tourists each year. What's interesting is the large increase in visits from tourists from South Asia. In 2014, about 4.5 million South Asian tourists visited Franch — a significant increase compared to the previous year. Paris has a lot to offer visitors from South Asia. The exclusive restaurant Victoria 1836 is worth a particular mention.
Nearly two years after the closing of Restaurant de l'Arc, a new place to enjoy the culinary arts opened in its place. Far away from all the noise and crowds that are typical of Paris, Victoria 1836 is dedicated to the values of Parisian luxury and focuses on style and elegance interwoven with grace and individuality.
The motto of this restaurant is "courage and ambition." With its fabulous combination of style and personality, this restaurant is open from dawn to dusk, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or drinks. You can enjoy Victoria 1836's ambience in countless ways. It offers a world where a beautiful interior and a prestigious venue go hand in hand and where you won't find any patronizing service or inconvenience. All guests can enjoy amazing views and a fantastic ambiance with friends and clients while being enchanted by flawless service whenever they choose to visit.
At 12 Rue de Presbourg, Victoria 1836 offers, besides a warm welcome, stunning views, gorgeous design and a formidable curved ceiling. Here you'll be surrounded by stone and wooden elements, high ceilings and coffee tables lit with sunlight. The atmosphere immerses you in a different and exciting world, leaving you smiling as the magnificent dining room reveals itself. Plentiful rows of perfectly set tables await.
The brain behind this operation is in charge of a small empire called Moma Group — Benjamin Patou. He has the unconditional support of three discrete professionals behind him. There's Sarah Lavoine, with her distinctive style and delicate touch, chef Alexander Oger, whose mentor was Janik Alena, sharing his good taste and creativity, and Helena Noguera, who created the perfect touch for this sophisticated environment.
Lavoine's background as a world traveller and her Parisian taste — powerful, sophisticated, demanding and curious — attracted the attention of Benjamin Patou when he hired her to design the Pavillon Vendôme in 2011. Three years later, Patou relied once again on Lavoine, asking for her magic touch in designing Victoria 1836.
Diners at Victoria 1836 can enjoy perfect chops, fillets, sauces and salads inspired by traditional dishes — but with a modern twist. The young chef Oger is now the centre of attention because of his skills, and as he says himself, he will forever be grateful to his mentor who taught him to pay attention to detail, strive for perfection, experiment and run a well-managed kitchen.
