Here Are Some Apps That Can Aid Your Travel Plans During The Holidays
Smart phones today work like guiding stars, they can help you find affordable hotels and resorts plus manage expenses, making travel fun and exciting.
We've listed some great apps to help you navigate your travels this holiday season easily:
Wise Guide Travel (iOS)
Wise Guide is an iPhone App that is available for exploring ad sharing City Guides with people based on the perspectives of travellers and locals on an international platform. Whether you are travelling in a city for a day, Nightlife in Sao Paulo, backpacking through Asia, or shopping in Paris, Wise Guides App is a unique app, which was developed by Australian entrepreneurs Hugh Campbell and Jordy Catalano.
Using a platform from travel recommendations from like-minded people who share similar travel intentions and building a trusted community to share tips to help shape your next trip. It is a community app as it is about connecting travel-lovers worldwide.
HopStop (iOS)
Using accessible city transit maps with just one app called HopStop, the app will also offer ways to get around the city by foot, bus, subway, rail, ferry, or bicycle (and will offer multiple routes to get from point A to point B) and a way to access public transport schedules so you can reach your destinations quickly.
The Entertainer (iOS, Android, and Blackberry)
The Entertainer was founded in Dubai and was originally a book of coupons that used to be sold in bookshops. However, the company recently launched an app to ease an affordable and efficient travel that can be used now on your mobile device.
The app covers about 23 cities, thus far and has recently launched in Hong Kong. It explores various merchants, including hotels, hairdressers, and restaurants which are near your location that offers buy-one-get-one-free discounts. Users have to simply show the app and redeem the coupon at their location.
Wikitude (iOS, Android, and Blackberry)
Wikitude has been one of the best Augmented Reality browsers according to Augmented Planet and CNN. With the use of a camera attached to your smart phone, you can use it to view the neighbourhood you are in and immediately, like as if you are in science fiction film, useful information will appear on the screen and indicate useful locations around the area selected.
Essentially, the app syncs a user’s location with restaurant reviews from TripAdvisor and Yelp, photos and tweets and shares it among your friends and adds information from Wikipedia. If that wasn’t cool enough, it is also has a currency converter. All you have to do is to scan a bank note and it will convert it into multiple currencies you want.
