The Top 10 Jay Sean Songs And His Sizzling New Single
Jay Sean hip-hopped his way into the music world at a young age. He's been ruling people’s music cravings since 2003.
Here’s ANOKHI's list of the star's top ten hit singles of all time.
1. "Eyes on You" (2004)
This song was Jay Sean’s second single from his debut album, Me Against Myself. The song was released in June 2004, and it reached number six on the U.K. Single Charts, selling over 60,000 copies in the United Kingdom alone.
2. "Ride It" (2008)
This song is the first single from his second album, My Own Way. After its release in January 2008, the song became an instant hit in Eastern Europe. In countries like Russia, Bulgaria and Romania, the track became one of the top three best-selling singles of the year.
3. "Maybe" (2008)
The second single of his second album, this song became the most popular and successful song in East Asia. It was number one on the Japanese Airplay Charts. In 2009, a Mandarin version of the track in Coco Lee’s voice was released in China on the album East to West, making Jay Sean and his song number one in China too.
4. "Down" (2009)
The first single from Sean’s album All or Nothing, "Down" was the number-one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, was one of the top five most searched songs of its year, and had over five million music video views before the end of 2009. The song has been featured in many YouTube videos, including a video by the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center for breast cancer awareness.
5. "Do You Remember" (2009)
The second single of All or Nothing, this song features Sean Paul and Lil Jon alongside Jay Sean. The song was a VIP track on the United Kingdom’s music channel 4Music the week of its release. The 2010 remake of The Karate Kid also features this track at the start of the movie.
6. "2012 – It Ain’t the End" (2010)
Featuring Nicki Minaj, this song is the lead track of Sean’s album Hit the Lights. The title of the song is a reference to the 2012 hype over the year that was believed to mark the end of the world, according to Mayan calendar predictions. The song debuted in the top ten on the U.K. Single Charts in October 2010.
7. "Hit the Lights" (2011)
The song is the second single from the album of the same name, and it features Lil Wayne. Jay Sean told MTV, “I’m so excited about this song. … I always wanted to write a song that could be batted across all the clubs and on radio. And I think this is that song.” The song also featured in Las Vegas’s tourism campaign “Only Vegas.”
8. "Where Do We Go" (2011)
This song is the lead single from Sean’s mixtape album The Mistress. The album features acoustic versions of original songs along with some beloved classics. According to music experts, the song shows a more mature side of Jay Sean's music.
9. "I’m All Yours" (2012)
The song is a single from Jay Sean’s album Neon. The song also features the American rapper Pitbull. The song was leaked, along with its artwork, on April 20, 2012. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry soon took the song and artwork down from the Internet. However, Jay Sean uploaded the artwork for the song on his Facebook page later that day.
10. "So High" (2012)
This hit song is also from Jay Sean’s album Neon, and it was produced by Afrojack. Jay’s thoughts about the song: “The song ‘So High’ is just ridiculous. Afrojack is such an amazing producer.” The song peaked at number three on the U.S. Dance Club Songs Chart.
After a long wait, Sean’s fans get his new single today worldwide. "Make My Love Go" is the new single featuring Sean Paul. Jay Sean announced the big news on Twitter yesterday.
