Superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 50 years old today! Although he doesn't look a day over 30, he was humbled by all the messages on social media and stood on the balcony of his house in Mannat to thank his fans waiting eagerly below.

What better way to celebrate turning 50 than standing on the balcony of your house and seeing the thousands of adoring fans waiting to greet you on your special day? SRK not only came out to wave to his fans but he also brought along son Ab'ram to join in before this Khan cut a cake with his family, including wife Gauri and kids Aryan, Suhana and Ab'ram.

The BBC World Service conducted an international poll to choose the top ten popular songs, and "Chaiyya Chaiyya" was actually voted ninth on the poll by the 155 countries that voted. The video was shot on a moving train, and Malaika Arora Khan, the model who danced with SRK in the track, said, "The 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' song was shot exactly how you see it on the screen. No camera tricks, no back projection, no post-production special effects!' The dance routine was choreographed by Farah Khan in just four days.

That moment you realize you're in love is an amazing feeling, and all three characters in this track have just worked out that they're in love. The only problem is that there's just one man and two women, so someone's heart is about to break. And because of that, the audience is about to feel really bad for Anjali. Thankfully, we now know that she gets her man in the end.

Known for being the cheeky bachelor in most of his films, Shah Rukh Khan took on a completely different role in Mohabbatein. This time, he played an older, sophisticated school teacher. In "Humko Humise Chura Lo" we see Shah Rukh Khan's character, Raj, dream about his love, who committed suicide after her father rejected him. The song becomes that much more emotional when you know the backstory.

An absolutely epic love story takes us through time where we see the younger Veer fall in love with Zaara, a girl he's not allowed to marry. Veer is locked up, and 22 years later, his story is told by a now older-looking Shah Rukh Khan. The lyrics in "Tere Liye" will pull on each and every heartstring. Watching the song onscreen makes you cry as you see an older Zaara finally reuniting with her love.
9. "Dewanagi Dewanagi" – Om Shaanti Om (2007)

Showing the Bollywood fraternity together as one: "Dewanagi Dewanagi" does this brilliantly with Shah Rukh's character dancing along with some of best actors out there. There is even a lovely shot of SRK together with Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt and former rival Salman Khan, which goes to prove that fallouts can only last so long.
