Bollywood Stars Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, And Priyanka Chopra Honoured At The 2014 Sansui Colors Stardust Awards
Farah Khan's Happy New Year, panned by critics, bagged the maximum number of trophies at the Stardust Awards ceremony held in Mumbai on Dec 14, including Film of the Year, Dream Director for Farah Khan, Star of The Year – Male and Best Actor – Thriller for Shah Rukh Khan and Star of The Year – Female for Deepika Padukone.
The highly anticipated Sansui Colors Stardust Awards were hosted by stellar director Karan Johar and new father and actor Riteish Deshmukh.
Deepika Padukone bagged the Star of the Year award
Happy New Year won several other awards, including Film of the Year for 2014. Its director, Farah Khan, won the Dream Director award. Shah Rukh Khan was also honoured with the Achievers Award for Best Actor Thriller/Action for Happy New Year.

Sonam Kapoor won the Best Actress for Romantic Comedy award for Khoobsurat
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with International Icon of the Year, while yesteryear beauty Asha Parekh — who was the star of such films as Teesri Manzil and Love In Tokyo — received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Tabu won the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) for her brilliant role in Haider
Bollywood stars Huma Qureshi, Raveena Tandon, Amrita Rao, Dia Mirza, Amitabh Bachchan, Sonali Bendre, Rajkummar Rao, Tabu, Jacqueline Fernandez, Tiger Shroff, Rakhi Sawant, Asha Parekh, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor also attended the event. Bipasha Basu arrived with Karan Singh Grover. Their relationship has been at the centre of media scandals. According to DNA, there are rumours that there's a relationship brewing between the two, who are both newly single.
Jacqueline Fernandez won the Style Diva of the Year award
Priyanka Chopra won the Best Actress Drama for Mary Kom, while Shahid Kapoor, her ex beau, won the well-deserved Best Actor Drama for Haider. Kangana Ranaut and director Vikas Bahl both won awards for Queen. Imtiaz Ali shared the Best Director award for Highway, with Vikas Bahl, for Queen.
Tiger Shroff won the Superstar of Tomorrow award for his smashing performance in Heropanti, while Alia Bhatt was recognized for her performances in Highway, 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor won Jodi of the Year for Gunday. Kapoor tells Apun Ka Choice, “I and Ranveer have won the award for the Best Jodi of the Year for Gunday. I am happy that people liked our real-life friendship on the big screen too. It feels good getting an award for something as unique as your friendship and the work that you put together.”
Madhuri dixit on Stage
Madhuri Dixit-Nene who appeared in two flicks this year namely ‘Gulab Gang’ and ‘Dedh Ishqiya’, was elegantly marvelous. However, she wasn’t nominated at the award function, the actress won over her fans once again with her scorching dance moves. Shah Rukh Khan performed tracks from his latest film, Happy New Year. His stage performance this year included an aerial act on a platform, which sent shockwaves through the audience as he performed with dancers.
