Dr. Cabbie Takes Toronto By Storm.
Dr. Cabbie which is set to release on September 19 in Canada, premiered just last month to good reception and celebration.
Kicking the festivities off, the Canadian film's stars attended the movie's music launch. Indian Superstar Salman Khan joined Vinay Virmani, Kunal Nayyar, and Isabelle Kaif (younger sister to Bollywood star Katrina Kaif) on Aug. 30, at SilverCity Brampton. The cast danced to performances by Manj of Manj Musik (formerly RDB), who sang the popular song 'Dal Makhni', from the film as well as to other popular songs from movies like Kick and Bodyguard.

The free all-ages event was hosted by YouTube comedienne Lily Singh (Superwoman), and webcasted live on ErosNow.com.
Salman Khan returns to Toronto after eight years
It has been almost a decade since Khan hit a Toronto stage, but he is hopeful to return soon, “I am here in Toronto after eight years. Someday, God willing, I will come back and perform for you all,” he says.

Salman Khan along with the cast and crew of Dr. Cabbie walked the red carpet to ear-deafening cheer. Other celebrities to walk the red carpet included rapper Kardinal Offishall, who is featured on the movie's soundtrack, model and wife to Kunal Nayyar, Neha Kapur, singer Karl Wolf and actor Rizwan Manji.

Newer to the screen, Kaif surprised herself with her comedic ability. Mainly focusing on drama in school, Dr. Cabbie was a shift for Isabel, “I never really saw myself as a funny person,” she says of her film debut. “When I came to LA everything I was being cast in was comedy. But I think it turned out alright.”

The party continued the next day as the stars graced the movie's world premiere at Downtown Toronto's Scotiabank Theatre. The cast hadn't seen the film until its premiere, "I'm nervous, man, I haven't seen the movie yet," Nayyar tells ANOKHI MEDIA. "I'm going to be like, 'Oh my God, that's how much of a double chin I have?'" Jokes aside, cast and fans alike had an amazing time, "I'm about to faint by all this love right now," says Virmani.
Dr. Cabbie is produced by First Take Entertainment and Caramel Films. The story follows the life of Deepak (Virmani) who is a doctor in India, yet finds himself unemployed once immigrating to Canada. After resorting to driving a cab, he turns his taxi into a mobile clinic to selflessly help those in need.
