Review of the Resveratrol Treatment at the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie Paris

We take a closer look at the Resveratrol Facial Treatment available exclusively at the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie Paris.

I was recently lucky to get the opportunity to get a Resveratrol Facial Treatment at the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie Paris at the Shangri-La Hotel. I was greeted upon arrival at the luxurious spa and led to the change room to put my belongings away. A robe and properly-sized slippers were given to me and I was assigned a locker to store my belongings.

I then met with Alexandra who would be giving me the facial. She explained that the Resveratrol Facial Treatment lasts an hour. The facial treatment (a Canadian exclusive) firms and lifts and immediately boosts collagen and elastin in the skin. It's performed with stimulating rollers meant to encourage circulation for a toning effect. The new Resveratrol product line contains hyaluronic acid to promote immediate lifting and firming results.

Alexandra began by cleansing my face, neck and decollage with a gentle cleansing milk. All of the products used are by Caudalie and are natural with no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulfate or animal ingredients.

My skin was then exfoliated with a gentle buffing cream to remove any dead skin. Next, a moisturizing toner was applied which balances and brightens, followed by a spritz of grape water that hydrates and soothes. A firming serum was applied next, followed by an eye and lip serum that firms and drains. A spritz of the beauty elixir was then sprayed and I have to say, I loved this product the most. The smell is just incredible.

A mask was then applied which promotes the previous products to sink in more efficiently.

A hand and foot massage is included when getting any of the facials.The Miraj Hammam spa offers seven different facials (The Caudalie Grand, The Men’s Vinotherapie, the Vinoperfect Treatment, Polyphenol C15 Treatment, the “Premier Cru,” Vinosource and the Resveratrol Facial Treatment). A luxurious hand and nail cream along with a foot beauty cream are massaged in while the mask hardens.

The mask was removed with cleansing water and another spritz of Beauty Elixir was sprayed. I very much enjoyed this facial treatment and would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to indulge in a very luxurious experience which leaves you feeling brand new. My skin was soft and glowing after this treatment. Facials can be done anytime, however when the seasons change is when they're most crucial.

After the facial, I was led into the relaxation lounge, which is covered in beautiful tapestry, where I was served snacks and black chai mint tea.

Upon leaving, I get a brochure that contains a personalized assessment of my skin type and needs as well as products to help keep it in perfect condition.

The Resveratrol Facial Treatment costs $170 CDN plus applicable taxes and an 18 per cent gratuity is added for convenience. I highly recommend any service at the Hammam Spa.
