Red Carpet Showstoppers At The 2013 American Music Awards

Sunday Nov 24, 2013 aired the much anticipated 2013 American Music Awards.

While music goers crammed to their sets to see which artists received what award, it was the funky fashion and style on the red carpet that had me intrigued.

As I tuned in to E! Live from the red carpet (my fav pre-show), I was happily surprised to spot a bunch of style risk takers owning their unusual but refreshing looks.

Those that caught my eye and rightfully so:

The singer made her entrance in a polka dot Oscar de la Renta strapless floor length gown. She added a girly punk rock feel to the look with quirky matching nail art.

If that wasn't icing on the style quotient cake, Perry paired the ensemble with a Webster's New World dictionary looking Olympia Le-Tan clutch.

Muted multicoloured strands against a black, one legged, Michael Costello gown gave our edgy gal a demure touch to the goth like ensemble. If that wasn't enough to tantalize, Ke$ha's metallic pointed nails gave the mani cam a run for its money.

Kelly takes the stud trend to a whole new level with her punky hair accessory.

The presenter's trademark lilac locks were braided in an intricate updo that was decorated with a line of gold studs either side of her head.

No one does it better than Mother Monster when it comes to artistic expression and style. Gaga did not dissappoint her fans when she arrived on the red carpet on a human horse decked out in Versace.

The new face of the fashion label took the inspiration of Bianca Jagger during the Studio 54 days with her elaborate entrance.
