Priyanka Chopra To Star In ABC Pilot Series Quantico
Priyanka Chopra Signs A Pilot Deal
Our serial game-changer Priyanka Chopra, who has been taking the U.S. by storm, doesn’t look like she’s about to slow down any time soon. Her first single, "In My City," being selected as the theme song for NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football in 2013 to bagging the title of first woman of Indian descent to be named a Guess Girl, Priyanka also lent her voice to the animated film Planes.
Setting her sights on a more solid standing in the states, she went on to sign up for a talent holding deal with ABC studios last year. According to deadline.com, the deal has been put into action, with PC recently signing up to be part of the of ABC drama pilot Quantico. The story is based on a group of very different FBI recruits, all training at the Quantico base in Virginia. The plot thickens when a terrorist attack on the U.S. occurs. Priyanka is reportedly playing the character of Alex Weaver, a brilliant but troubled trainee.
The series is produced by Mark Gordon, Josh Safran and Nick Pepper, and it marks the North American TV debut of Priyanka, who is no stranger to the camera — with over 45 Bollywood films under her belt already.
