Here Are Some Of The Ways Countries All Around The World Are Going To Celebrate The New Year, 2015
If you are tired of watching the ball drop at Times Square in New York City, the New Year’s Eve party in downtown Indianapolis will showcase the city’s heritage, history, and its changing landscape. The car will be suspended over Georgia Street and unveiled on Monday morning at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. This is the first time a celebration will take place in downtown Indiana when the car drops at midnight. The party will begin at 5 p.m. with live bands which will perform outdoors while Bankers Life Fieldhouse inside activities with food trucks will cater to the crowd.
Toronto, Canada
Preparations for Torontonians to celebrate have kicked in. Massey Hall is set to host a New Year Eve’s Comedy Extravaganza. The show will be hosted by Tom Green and Derek Edwards with feature comedy DeAnne Smith, Alex Nussbaum, Dave Martin, Kenny Robinson, Michelle Shaughnessy, Mike Rita, and Patrick Coppolino, and with music by Bonzai Suzuki. Nathan Phillips Square, which will be a giant outdoor party with an ice rink, food trucks, and catch musical performances from Tebey and Zeus before fireworks
London, UK
New Year’s Eve in the United Kingdom will take place at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, with stalls filled with mulled wine and bratwurst, fairground rides, and an ice rink with of course, live music. The event is free to enter. For those willing to spend £75, avid Shakespeare fans can visit the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, which is offering a three-course dinner and live music (with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a half bottle of wine) for an unforgettable night.
Goa, India
While there are excellent hotels in Goa, with a wide array of bars, nightclubs, and restaurants, the best events are held at Camelot Water World, Submerge New Years Eve presented at Red Square and Bardez’s Molly Malone’s thrilling IRFD New Year Eve Bash which takes place annually.
Melbourne, Australia
At Eureka 89, which is the highest point in the southern hemisphere, party goers can celebrate and ring in the New Year with incredible views and fireworks from the levels 88-89 of the Eureka Tower.
With Singapore’s 50th year of independence, a countdown party which celebrates the country’s journey through popular culture is set to take place. Titled Celebrate SG50, the event will feature more than 60 local artists from the past 50 years performing sons from the era. The guests will also receive wristbands with elements of social media in them. Fireworks will take place over the Marina Bay at midnight with Korean pop band Big Bang with their first concert in 2015. The attendees will receive radio-frequency identified special acrylic bands at the event so that they can tweet and share their experiences.
Dublin, Ireland
The party celebrations in the city of Budweiser and Dublin Coddle will begin with a kickoff party on December 31st, with NYE concerts which will begin with the Big Brunch in the city, which is of course a family gathering. The whole party is celebrated in Temple Bar’s Meeting House Square. The attendees will receive a photo screening, balloon modeling, face painting, and stalls filled with delicious foods. Unique to Ireland, thousands of people visit the torch light procession with fireworks.
Dubai, UAE
The most famous of New Year 2015 party events which are organized by the Emaar properties, showcase a wide variety of dance and choreographed musical performances. The show will highlight the performance of musicians performing Burj steps of the Burj Khalifa, while the Gala will be held on the Burj Lake. The Lake is the most unforgettable part of the event making it a once-in-a-lifetime with a water, light, and fire show and a 210 meter projection screen which will make the show available for the attendees.
