RADO Watch Company Limited, the leading Swiss watch manufacturer introduced its latest product, the innovative and dramatic Esenza. In this imaginative product, RADO has displayed its mastery of design, and in homage to the perfection of form, has dared to leave out something that would seem to be indispensable to a watch–the crown. Proving that perfect form can be even more elegantly unpretentious.
Indo- Canadian actress, media personality and style icon Lisa Ray knows no limit of geography or culture. She unveiled the RADO Esenza and the hyperchrome collection in Canada and India. "I am surprised but very happy to say that it is ten years this year! What a great anniversary and its fantastic that there are so many events in 2013 with Rado" says Lisa Ray.
There are six new models in this collection – three black and three white . Esenza has two styles of straps – either 3-row polished black or white high-tech ceramic with titanium 3-fold clasp and black or white satin fabric with stainless steel buckle.
The functionality of the watch is ensured, even without a crown. The back of the watch contains two contact fields (plus/minus).
Placing the magnetic element at the end of the leather strap into the appropriate indentation causes the hands to move in the desired direction.
You can control the watch’s hours and minutes with a gentle press and a touch of the finger and with a single stroke – time can be turned back or forward.
The Rado watches were developed especially by an expert Rado design team, which drew on their vast years of working within the Swatch group and combined with their experience of high-tech materials, they were able to create a watch which was both hard – full high-tech ceramic and soft – the case is curved oval.
"I felt in love with it from the very first moment I tried it on! It is a very feminine and sensual watch, the fact that it has no crown gives it a pure and harmonious look. And it is the first touch enabled device made of ceramic in the world, which is very cool. It's great how easy it is to change the time- especially for travel. Plus it looks very elegant and goes very well with both smart and casual looks." says Lisa Ray.
As always, RADO has worked with fascinating materials. Its curved, sapphire crystal highlights the new watch. It floats like a cupola over the entire upper surface of the watch, perfectly rounding off the captivating form.
The case back is made from skin-friendly titanium and is water-resistant to 98 feet. In Canada, it will be available at $2,150- $3,050.
The Rado watches, therefore, are known worldwide for their streamlined, subtle, yet elegant and soft finish and are the ultimate all day wear for every occasion. The Rado watches appeals to sports celebrities and movie actors like Andy Murray, Hrithik Roshan and Lisa Ray equally.
The new Hyper Chrome Court and Glam Slam tennis inspired collections launched earlier this year. It reflects a progressive step forward in Swiss design materials.
The experts have sought out to look for the ultimate comfort with a streamlined, fluid case construction with sleek side inserts that will make a great accessory for any occasion.
The newly introduced Rado Hyper Chrome UTC watch can show two different time zones at the same time, which is what the 21st century traveller needs when hopping on a plane — knowing the time at the destination or the time back in home country, so friends, family and business contacts can be made without waking them up.
“UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time and is a more accurate take on the traditional GMT. At Rado, two different time zones also ensure double the style, making this the ultimate travelling companion for fashionable jet setters,” according to Rado.
First introduced in 1957, the brand RADO has emerged as a market leader in just 40 years, with a strong international brand image. RADO has the distinction of manufacturing the world's first scratch proof watch that retains its beauty and luster for years.
