Momma Knows Best: 5 Celebs Who Wish They Were As Successful As Their Mothers
Entertainment Nov 12, 2015
Hema Malini will always remain India's dream girl, and no one can take her throne — not even her own daughter, Esha Deol.
Starting her career in the 1960s, Hema Malini had countless hits, including Sholay, Satte Pe Satta, Seeta Aur Geeta and Baghban. The biggest franchise that Esha Deol has to her name since her debut in 2002 is Dhoom. Esha's career was short-lived, and she stopped appearing in Bollywood cinema in 2008. She made a comeback in 2011, appearing in a film directed and produced by her mother, Hema, but she went unnoticed again. This year, she tried her luck on the small screen as a judge on MTV Roadies X2. Maybe the third time's the charm for Esha?

Demi Moore today, at 53, is still Hollywood's hottest sex symbol. She has played iconic roles in Ghost, G.I.Jane and A Few Good Men. The same can't be said about her daughter, Rumer Willis. The 27-year-old won the last Dancing with the Stars competition, where washed-up celebrities end up to become relevant again. Maybe the title will help Rumer Willis in her future endeavours in TV and cinema?

Goldie Hawn is an Oscar award–winning star most known for Death Becomes Her alongside Meryl Streep and Bruce Willis. Her daughter, Kate Hudson, is well known in Hollywood and had a good start with the movie Almost Famous. Unfortunately, her most memorable movies have been How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Skeleton Key and Bride Wars. With this lineup, her chances of scoring an Oscar are slim.

With her sexiest performance in An Evening in Paris, Sharmila Tagore is a celebrated star in Indian Cinema. But in Soha Ali Khan's case, the apple did fall far from the tree. She has been constantly appearing in Bollywood movies but is not blessed with the same success as her mom or brother, Saif Ali Khan.
