Man Of The Match: Virat Kohli
India Vs Pakistan – ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
While many lovers around the world were celebrating Valentine’s Day, cricket fans in North America tuned in to watch what they hoped to be an impressive play by India vs Pakistan in match 4, ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. The match which took place at the Adelaide Oval in Melbourne, Australia saw two rivaling countries with a history of obsessive patriotic behavior, take centre field in a game that was witnessed first-hand by 41,587 fans as well as the plethora of tuned in devotees.
For India (the defending champs), their 76 runs victory over Pakistan in this World Cup opener occurred with the help of Virat Kohli, dubbed the “Man of the Match”. Not only did Kohli score 107 off 126 balls bringing his team to a 300-7 finish, he accomplished this by becoming the first Indian batsman to score a century against Pakistan at the World Cup, pushing Afridi to reach his three-figures.
Quoting Yahoo news Kohli says, "It's probably one of the biggest I've had in my career so far."

It was clear to see that Kohli was the cement that held the India’s innings together, but some could argue that he was granted the luxury because of his team players Dhawan and Raina’s aggressive play.
At first Kohli appeared slightly strung out, but with the help of Dhawan who produced stellar play with strokes on both sides of the wicket, Kohli managed to bring his team and country to victory.
Raina on the other hand who took a little time to get into his groove, finally got his mojo on during the power play which resulted in five overs making 56, the majority going to Raina who left no one spare.
