Mallika Sherawat Accused Of Splitting Up Antonio Banderas & Melanie Griffith

Fingers are being pointed toward Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat as being the cause of the split between Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith.

The couple recently announced their separation after 18 years of marriage, saying "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together."

A report surfaced on RadarOnline with a source claiming that Sherawat and Banderas showed some serious PDA dancing together at a Cannes Film Festival party in 2012.

Sherawat 's self-proclaimed bestie, Ivan Bitton, an LA-based stylist, told the gossip website that Banderas showed a lot of affection towards Sherawat throughout the party.

"I remember when they danced and they had a lot of PDA, he had a lot of public affection with Mallika," Bitton said.

Although the Bollywood star has publicly denied the allegations, Bitton claims "Sherawat wants him [Antonio], bad!"

Bitton alleges that in 2012 Banderas took Sherawat on a discreet European vacation that no one was aware of.

Sherawat has said to E! News that "Antonio Banderas is a wonderful man, a great dancer and an acquaintance of mine… I did not go on any vacation with him, and I'm sorry he's going through a divorce."

The actress also denies ever being BFFs with Ivan Bitton, saying that she hired him as a stylist for Cannes and then fired him following it and hasn't heard from him since. She also accused him of leaking the video of her and Banderas dancing, saying "Whatever he's saying about me is ridiculous."

Sherawat is from Rohtak district in Haryana and made a mark on the Indian film industry in 2003 with Khwahish. Two years later, she went international with Jackie Chan in The Myth, and then went on to appear in Jennifer Lynch's Hisss and William Dear's Politics of Love.
