Satya Paul puts its stamp on bed throws, covers and quilts.
How do you celebrate three successful decades of timeless and eclectic prints in India’s opulent fashion industry? If you take a leaf out of the iconic brand Satya Paul’s book, you conquer through expansion.
The house that made a name through abstract art and beautiful construction has announced yet another milestone. From couture to prêt-à-porter sarees to male and female accessories, the brand is expanding its repertoire to home décor and furnishings with the launch of its capsule line SATYA PAUL Home.
The Canadian launch is set to take place November 2015, just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.
We caught up with Tamizan Esmail from Canada’s flagship location of Satya Paul, who gave us a sneak peek into the line of four very distinct styles. When asked about the anticipation of the collection she said,
"This capsule collection boasts the most iconic prints that are synonymous with the Satya Paul name. The use of new and innovative fabrics, prints and colours makes this line even more unique with a very distinct flavour that's in keeping with 30 grand and notable years in the Satya Paul journey. I can't wait to launch this phenomenal new phase of Satya Paul."
Untamed
Perfectly named and fitting for the fall season, this quilt style is a mix of animalistic prints made up of zebra and leopard with touches of abstract, floral and sequinned accessory throw cushions. The quilt is constructed in cotton satin front and back.
Mehndi Art
For the artistic lover, this quilt is made of Japanese polyester to create the sheen on the front side showcasing bright, bold, South-Asian–associated hues of orange, yellow, sky blue and fuchsia. The inside is tacked cotton satin for breathability.
Line Art
Here Satya Paul introduces a more neutral palette of creams and brown with hints of boldness from a rich blood-orange hue. This quilt is made in cotton satin, front and back. It has been hand-quilted.
Jewelled
Jewel tones take centre stage here with golden and bronzed shades, royal blue, ruby reds and emerald green. This quilt is made in polyester silk Dupion and patch-worked on the front with a cotton satin lining, hand-quilted.
A vast range of pillow sizes is also available, in sizes 20×20, 18×18, 16×16 and 14×24.
You can easily mix these pillows to form any specific colour palette story you desire. Satya Paul recommends more over fewer cushion covers in your living room area to create an opulent vibe.
With this extensive range of new fabrics, vintage colour palettes and intricate detailing, expect to be taken on an artful tour to discover unique, affordable luxury décor possibilities.
To keep the beauty of the quilts and cushions, it’s advised to professionally dry-clean only.
