Introducing Bollywood Pop Singer Asha Sing

Bollywood pop singer Asha Sing released her first music video for her debut single “We Can Make It” on December The song, which fuses pop and electronic elements with a Bollywood twist, is the first single from her debut EP “Mercy.” The video, which was produced by Power 96’s Brandon Coton, includes a section dedicated to Asha’s fans. The singer encouraged fans to send in photos of the song lyrics, and over 30 were used in the final video. Grammy-award winning producer Paul Ebersold produced the single, which was recorded in Nashville at Studio Kitchen.
“It was important to me to be able to include my fans in this important milestone in my career,” said Sing. “I cannot wait for my fans to see and share this video.”

This American-born Desi-raised girl plans on uniting Eastern and Western cultures through a fusion of Bollywood and American pop music. The idea of this fusion sound came together when she met Grammy-winning producer Paul Ebersold. The two worked together at Studio Kitchen in Nashville, TN to create four tracks to reflect this vision. The first single from the EP, titled “We Can Make It”, was released in December 2012. This multitalented young American with roots in India is now a part of the BMI family along with fellow South Asian artists A.R. Rahman and Jay Sean.
The singer received recognition when she competed at the world famous Apollo Theater Amateur Talent Competition in Harlem, NY. She placed second by taking a daring step and performing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” This gained Asha attention from numerous media outlets, including the Miami Herald and the South Asian Times. Her success also caught the attention of the Carson Adler Casting Agency in New York, which she signed to immediately following her performance.
During the summer of 2010, Asha received the opportunity to be a back-up dancer and singer for Shakira at the Premios Juvented 2010 in Miami, FL. In addition to the thousands in attendance, thousands more saw the performance of Shakira’s World Cup hit “Waka Waka” on Univision.
