We all remember Tyra Bank’s infamous explosion at contestant Tiffany in the 3rd season of America’s Next Top Model. Banks, outraged at Tiffany’s lack of passion and seriousness towards the competition, screamed her throat hoarse about the trifles and tribulations she had to go through in her life to achieve her success. We list here some other famous tantrums thrown by our favourite(or not so favourite) celebrities.
BJORK
This award-winning quirky Icelandic singer is known for her outrage at a reporter at an airport in Bangkok in 1996, and an attack accusation by a New Zealand photographer(where she literally ripped his shirt).
CHRISTIAN BALE
The adult John Connor lost it on the sets of Terminator:Salvation, when the director of photography made the huge mistake of moving a light during a take. The audio was leaked to the public, where Bale repeatedly uses abusive words against the director, despite repeated apologies from the latter.
ELTON JOHN
Sir Elton John is not only famous for his extraordinary musical abilities, but also as one who does not shy from throwing hissyfits. In 2003, after running into a crowd of photographers at a Taiwanese airport, he publicly called all of them “rude, vile pigs”.
ALEC BALDWIN
The ‘30 Rock’ funny man got extremely angry at his pre-teen daughter when she refused to answer his call. The angry voicemail left by him had him calling her a “rude, thoughtless little pig”. So embarrassed he was when this made it to the public that he tried to quit ’30 Rock’(to prevent his coworkers from suffering a PR disaster) and promised to devote time to becoming a better father.
RUSSELL CROWE
South Park had a lot of fun showcasing a cartoon Russell Crowe with a major anger management issue in one of its episodes. His most famous meltdown is his punching and breaking the nose of fellow actor Peter Cousins’, who was also acting in a Sydney-based stage production. Crowe was subsequently fired when he refused to apologize, an action he later defended claiming if one does not have a good anger outlet, he/she will just ‘pop’. He has also been in the news for throwing items at people and bar brawls.
PARIS HILTON
The former Reality TV Queen(a title ex-bff Kim Kardashian now owns), Paris Hilton walked out on her ABC News interview with Dan Harris when he asked her if “her moment had passed” on reality tv – reflection of her severely declining ratings. She just got up and left.
