Dia Mirza Ties The Knot With Her Partner Of Four Years, Sahil Sangha
Congrats to the Bollywood starlet who got hitched over the weekend. After six months of being engaged, Sahil and Dia finally took the plunge on October 18. Their lovestory is somewhat of a fairytale where Sahil proposed on knee at the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. The couple who co-own a production house called Born Free Entertainment have released two movies together: Love Breakups Zindagi and Bobby Jasoos.
Wedding festivities began October 16 with a mehndi ceremony followed by a sangeet ceremony the next day. The wedding ceremony itself took place in Delhi in the presence of close family and friends. The extravagant ceremony at Rosha farms in Ghittorni, New Delhi boasted a celebrity guest list of Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and her husband Mahesh Bhupati, Rajkumar Hirani, Zayed Khan, Sophie Choudry, and Cyrus Sahukar, Nikhil Advani, Aditi Rao Hydari, Pallavi Sharda, and Roshan Seth to name a few.
Post ceremony, Mirza tells Indian express, “I am very happy. It was a beautiful Arya Samaj ceremony. The vows were explained to us. It was wonderful because it was good to be conscious of what you are going through and what are the vows you are exchanging. It was a dream wedding.”
On the fashion front Mirza shone in a Ritu Kumar green basd sharara paired with a long gold jacket- paying homage to her Hydrebadi heritage during the ceremony. Sahil wore Raghavendra Rathore off-white silk linen brocade achkan. He states, “Our friends and family worked really hard to make this a memorable day for Diya and me. We are very happy and grateful for everyone who bestowed so much love on us.”
According to Indian Express, it was Dia’s co-star from Munna Bhai, Boman Irani, who gave Diya away in the kanyadaan ceremony.
Nikhil Advani, director of Kal Ho Naa Ho, told Rediff, “The couple looked radiant. The arrangements were first-rate and the food was to die for."
We wish the couple a lifetime of happiness. Don't forget to share your well-wishes below!
