Celebrate Community Spirit At DiwaliFest!

Dance. Delight. Dhamaka.

To celebrate Diwali, friends and family often gather for music, dance and games.

To observe the tradition, organizers of Canada's biggest Diwali celebration of it's kind have prepared a fantastic program on stage throughout the weekend to showcase the most dynamic and energetic performances.

One of the key highlights of the program on stage is the dance competition. In fact, two segments will be held – junior competition on Friday, October 24 (5PM to 7PM) and team competition on Saturday, October 25 (1PM to 3PM).

For the team competition, the top dance troupes from the GTA will compete for the title and cash prize. Among the judges is Chase Constantino, the renowned choreographer who competed in Canada’s Got Talent finale.

Pan Am Experience

The Pan American Games are the world’s third largest international multi-sport Games; they are only surpassed in size and scope by the Olympic Summer Games and the Asian Games.

Close to 7,000 athletes from across Latin America, South America, the Caribbean and North America will put their years of intense training, perseverance and sacrifice to the test in world-class competition in 36 Pan Am sports and 15 Parapan Am sports at the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games next summer.

To welcome the Pan Am games, festival visitors can test their hand-eye coordination and athletic skills at the Pan Am area within the Community Corner. In addition to the physical fun, the official mascot, PACHI, will also make an appearance on Sunday, October 26 (2PM to 3:30PM) and available for pictures during his stay.
