February's Roster Of Bolly Flicks Promises Everything — Laughs, Revenge And That Good Ol' Thing We Call Love!
February is the month of love, and who does love better than Bollywood? What's great about February is that viewers will get a fresh set of onscreen pairings to enjoy with plenty of thrills. Along with that mushy feeling we get inside as our favourite stars vie for each other's love, running around trees, we also get to enjoy a murder mystery, plots to enact revenge and whatever Mallika Sherawat has to offer as she romances a bunch of retired, if not close to retired, legendary actors.
Here are my top three Bolly flicks that are sure to promise everything from laughs, mystery and revenge to that good ol' thing we call love.
Okay, so this could be one of the weirdest onscreen pairs we'll see in Bollywood … ever! In the upcoming film Dirty Politics, screen siren Mallika Sherawat is going to be romancing none other than legendary actor Om Puri. Can someone say "awkward"? What remains to be seen is if this film will actually call out much of the talked-about dirty poltiics that exist in the Bollywood entertainment business. In a recent interview, Sherawat stated, "I've faced a lot of dirty politics in Bollywood. You miss out on many parts because another actress is the hero's favorite or the producer's favorite." This only leads us to believe that this film will give us a few controversies to talk about.
ROY
Hot and young onscreen blood Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez star in the sleek and stylish film Roy. This is a film full of action, adventure and a big dash of love. What's more, the film's soundtrack boasts modern and melodious tracks that are sure to get your foot tapping. What does all of this mean? It means Roy is the perfect film to watch for Valentine's Day. Directed by Vikramjit Singh, Roy tells the story of a love triangle between Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez, who will be playing a double role as both Ayesha and Tia.
Varun Dhawan has made a strong impression on Indian moviegoers with past films Student of the Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Mein Tera Hero. Now, he's back with Badlapur in a power-packed performance as a young man out for revenge against those who have murdered his true love — tragic, but oh-so-romantic. This Bollywood flick is sure to bring a tear to our eyes. It will also be interesting to see how this young actor, with only a handful of films under his belt, handles a strong and emotional role. Has he grown as an actor? Let's wait and see.
