Beauty Review: Clarisonic Radiance Brightening Solution Kit

This kit gives you a healthy dose of radiance and eliminates unwanted spots and scars.

As we welcome the warm summer days we become more prone to dull and uneven skin tone. Dark spots become visible and all we want is bright, radiant skin. With this in mind, I decided to test the Clarisonic Radiance Brightening Solution Kit.

Product and Benefits
The Clarisonic Radiance Brightening Solution Kit is designed to fight pigmentation, dark spots, dullness, discolouration, acne scars and uneven skin tone. The kit includes the following:

Clarisonic Aria Cleansing Device With Radiance Brush Head
The Aria device offers three speeds for all your cleansing needs, with Speed 1 being the most gentle and Speed 3 offering extra force to remove any impurities.

Skin Illuminating Cleanser (100 ml): The foaming cleanser is made with licorice root extract, peppermint leaf extract and ginkgo biloba leaf extract to brighten and soothe skin while giving it a radiant glow.

Skin Renewing Peel Wash (100 ml): The peel wash includes 3.5 per cent glycolic acid to combat pigmentation and replenish the skin’s texture.

Brightening Activator Serum (29 ml): This treatment serum starts making an impact immediately and, bonus, it has a refreshing scent. It reduces melanin production, lightening any dark spots on your face and making your skin look brighter.

Instructions
The twice-a-day regimen is simple, quick and effective. In the morning, apply a dime-size drop of the Skin Illuminating Cleanser onto the brush and set the device to Speed 1. The T-Timer is set to one minute so move the brush in a circular motion on your forehead for 20 seconds, on your nose and chin for 10 seconds each and on your cheeks for 10 seconds each. The brush turns off after the one-minute cycle ends. Wash your face with warm water and apply the Brightening Activator Serum.

Before going to bed at night, apply the Skin Renewing Peel Wash onto the brush and set the device to Speed 3. Move the brush in a circular motion, as described above, for the one-minute cycle and then wash your face with warm water and apply the Brightening Activator Serum.

Verdict
It was hard for me to believe this routine would actually work. The timer is a huge bonus, especially on busy mornings. The cleanser immediately made my skin feel replenished and fully exfoliated; as if I’d had a 30-minute facial. The brightening serum did not have an immediate impact, but, over time, I noticed a much more radiant glow. The refreshing scent is a bonus. After just two weeks, I noticed my skin’s texture had improved vastly and there was a huge impact on the dark spots. South Asians who suffer from excess melanin, especially during summer, will love this kit.

Overall, I think the Clarisonic Radiance Brightening Solution Kit gives facials a run for their money. The seven-piece kit, including the charger and drying stand, retails at $265 CDN. You can also purchase the items separately.
