ANOKHI MEDIA’s 12th Anniversary Event took place last Saturday, and it was a great success!
We welcomed over 900 guests, celebrities and notables at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto across all 4 aspects of the program. It was an evening of glitz n glam as ANOKHI honored many notable South Asian personalities and talent from Canada and across the globe.
The evening started with media frenzy at our red carpet reception with Johnnie Walker cocktails and a photo booth courtesy of ‘Destiny – A Tale of Sonali and Amir’. Guests were then ushered into the Concert Hall for a 3-course fusion style dinner that was immediately followed by a 3-hour Awards-Entertainment-Fashion show. 18 awards were presented, 4 mesmerizing musical performances and 2 stand-up comedy acts were enjoyed, brought to you by Johnnie Walker, and a spectacular 30-minute fashion show by first-time in North America Bollywood fashion designer, Archana Kochhar was showcased, brought to you by L’Oreal Paris. The night ended with a 4-deejay performance during the industry gala after-party, taking us into the wee hours of the next morning. Get the full recap HERE.
The highlight of the night was the unveiling of a first-time edition of ANOKHI MEDIA’s coffee table book, ‘THE ANOKHI LIST 2015’. This beautiful collector’s edition celebrates the regional, national and international success stories of some of today’s most prolific South Asian personalities. With over 150 pages, this annual edition is packed with 32 EXCLUSIVE interviews with South Asian success stories from around the world, including International Actor Rahul Khanna, Legendary Music Producer Rishi Rich, Singer Manj Musik, ABC’s ‘Galavant’ Actress Karen David, Bollywood Fashion Designer Archana Kochhar, Cultural Icon & Founder Of Basement Bhangra DJ Rekha and many more!
The book also comes with a special congratulatory message from the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynn, and the Mayor of Toronto, John Tory. Also included are messages from myself and the book’s Editor-In-Chief, Hina P. Ansari, along with an introduction to the ANOKHI MEDIA Dream Team.
