After focusing on using the iPad for sports in its previous 'Your Verse' campaign, tech giant Apple has turned its eyes on Bollywood. In its latest initiative to promote the iPad’s usage in everyday activities, Apple’s 'Your Verse' column shows Bollywood Choreographer Feroz Khan planning the most intricate dance movements with his iPad.
From finding the perfect dress to the elaborate dance movements, Feroz Khan is shown using his iPad Air for every little thing involved in the process. He says, “As a Bollywood Choreographer, I just don’t direct dance movements. I also scout locations, help choose costumes and props, and stay in touch constantly with my team. I depend on my iPad air for all of it.”

Focusing on the Artemis HD App and SloPro App , the choreographer uses the apps to frame dance moves and watch the sequence from every angle to make sure he gets it right. With these apps, he is able to select the same camera that his director of photography uses, which makes the job much easier for the both of them. Often juggling multiple concepts at the same time, Khan was looking for a way to manage all his ideas. With the iPad Air he now can, making it the single most efficient tool to shape concepts into design.
From props to costume to jewelry, Bollywood dance numbers are always elaborate. Khan finds his inspirations everywhere form tightly packed markets to small stalls in the middle of nowhere. This is when the iPad Air comes in handy. He's able to click pictures of objects of fascination which later are incorporated in his choreography. “An idea can hit me at anytime. It helps that my iPad Air is with me all the time so that I can capture everything that inspires me,” he adds.

Other than this Bollywood story, Apple has previously shared 'Your Verse' stories related to sports, mountain expedition and underwater exploration with the iPad. In the sports world, a Cleveland clinic in Ohio is using iPad to let trainers monitor concussion symptoms after an event occurs. Mountaineers Emily Harrington and Adrian Ballinger share their 'Your Verse' story of how they use the iPad’s Gaia GPS App to summit safely and plan routes to share the adventures with the world. Underwater exploration is also possible with the iPad. Marine biologist Michael Berumen furthers his research with the iDive Housing and the App Benthic Transect.
With the 'Your Verse' stories, Apple shares the lives of people who are in challenging professions and have one simple solution, the iPad, for their everyday job.
Choreographer Feroz Khan concludes, “Without a doubt, iPad has changed how I work. It’s easier to share my ideas with the team and get every detail right. That makes the dancing and the entire film more spectacular than ever.”
