Indo- Canadian Chamber of Commerce honours Raj Girn, Founder & CEO ANOKHI MEDIA with the Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award!
"My role as a mother is my single greatest and most empowered of all of my avatars as a woman," says Raj. "Once I started seeing that half empty glass as half full, I garnered strength from the very fact that I am a woman, and South Asian woman, and founded ANOKHI ten years ago – a South Asian media brand for women!"
The Indo- Canadian Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards and Gala night took place amidst achievers and game changers of Indo-Canadian Society in Toronto yesterday. This premier social and business event whose theme this year was – Partnering Economic Growth – A Time To Soar, hosted more than a thousand élite of Canada including Federal and provincial leaders, leading business entrepreneurs, professional and others.
Past galas have hosted leading Canadian keynote speakers including Prime Minister Stephen Harper, former Prime Minister Paul Martin and former Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty. This year the Honourable John Baird, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Honourable Kathleen Wynn , Premier of Ontario felicitated the event as the chief guest and key-note speaker.
"One of the most memorable moments I experienced as the President of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) was to shake hands with Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, in the presence of Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada." said, Naval Bajaj, President, Indo Canada Chamber Of Commerce.

Annual awards were given to the 'The Best of the Best' of the Indo- Canadian community in 11 categories Including Humanitarian of the Year.
