It’s 2015, a New Era of ANOKHI MEDIA is Born, and You’re Invited!

We’re finally here in 2015, shaking off the dust of a year gone by and getting our treads ready for a year that is yet to be.

I spent the holidays pretty much as I usually do — processing the previous year, taking in the good and pushing out the not so good. For me, 2014 was tougher and more exciting than most years as it was the year of a tremendous behind-the-scenes metamorphosis at ANOKHI MEDIA in preparation for the big shift in 2015 from a traditional print media company to a full throttle digital media company. It was like going from a horse-drawn carriage to a Tesla without gradation through the various stages of transportation innovation. It was a “beam me up, Scotty” kind of moment.

Sitting at the helm, steering such an enormous task, has been the journey of a lifetime for me this past year and, no doubt, will continue to be throughout 2015. But, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the stalwart, dedicated team of people who worked tirelessly along my side ensuring all the Ts are crossed and all the Is are dotted before we present you with new and exciting ways to engage with your favourite brand, ANOKHI MEDIA. They are my DREAM TEAM who head up our various departments. They are my army of angels!

“Why the shift?” you may ask. In short, because YOU asked for it. “How, when, why?” I’ll tell you: by the way you have chosen to consume our content since we launched anokhimedia.com back in May of 2013. We quickly identified an enormous shift in engagement to our website, newsletter and social media in comparison to the print magazine so we decided to reevaluate our focus to align with your needs for diverse, readily accessible, real-time content at your finger tips. Here’s what we did:

ANOKHI MAGAZINE: We launched a FREE digital version of the magazine in November 2014 on iOS and android platforms and increased the circulation frequency from a quarterly (as with the print) to a monthly. The results? TREMENDOUS! Overnight downloads started to pour in of our magazine app and circulation grew by 300 per cent in two months, with the majority of downloads of the magazine app being focused in Canada and the U.S. To download the magazine app for free, tap HERE. What’s different about this version of the magazine, other than it being mobile, is that you can viewblog articles videos, photo galleries and your favourite product and service companies’ websites and special offers, all directly from within the issues. For those of you who don’t have access to a tablet device, don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about you. We have also developed an online flipbook version of the monthly magazine, which you can access HERE.

3 VIDEO CHANNELS: We have freshened up the branding and frequency so that new episodes now go live every Monday on Spotlight TV (lifestyle show), every Wednesday on Pulse TV (entertainment show) and every Friday on Open Chest TV (chat show).

ANOKHI MEDIA WEBSITE: A re-launch is scheduled for the first week of March, completely re-designed with a fresh new look.

ANOKHI MEDIA NEWSLETTER: A re-launch of our newsletter is scheduled for the first week of February with more frequency per week and a new design. Sign up HERE for free if you’re not already a member of this community to gain access to member-only offers.

OPEN CHEST WEBSITE: A re-launch scheduled for mid-February, completely re-designed with a fresh new look.
