Spring is here and summer is near as we head over to New Delhi for Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, where designers amped up the ramp and schooled us on what’s new and cool.
Leisure style trends continue to run the ramp around the globe. Designer Anand Bhushan's Spring/Summer collection took it to the courts! Bhushan's use of intricate weave techniques on classic cuts and silhouettes added a modern touch to a traditional look.

Anavila’s S/S 16 collection of lightweight kurtas, saris and maxi dresses looked ethereal against a palette of muted tones of ecru, dusty rose and grey.

Beachy looks were the theme for some designers at Amazon India Fashion Week. Payal Jain’s S/S 16 collection of a hot summer night in Spain showcased breezy satin dhoti pants, oversized crochet knit tops and slouchy tunics.

Graphic and digital prints ruled for designers Rasa Jaipur and Tanieya Khanuja. For Jaipur’s S/S 16 collection it was a mishmash of prints that looked overwhelming but paired well together.

We’re always on the look out for “the look” that makes a statement during fashion week. Glamour is a style that can be reinterpreted in many ways but it’s all in the execution. Komal Sood’s Feather of Freedom S/S 16 collection of muted tones added a new level of glamour.

A complete contrast from the usual deep rich tones. Samant Chauhan’s Kinnaur Queen S/S 16 collection was inspired by the Indo-Greek century. Full length gowns had a simplistic backdrop but paired well with floral beading. While bodices were exquisitely well crafted with heavy detailing and complemented dramatic skirts.
