10 Pakistani Singers Who Made Their Mark In Bollywood

Pakistani singers and musicians are known to invoke raw, organic emotion into hearts with their soulful voices and musical abilities.

These talents make them super popular across the border, and Indo-Pak musical collabs are taking the world by storm.

Quratulain Balouch (or QB), best known for the title track of Fawad Khan-starrer drama Humsafar recently made her Bollywood debut.

The musical sensation lends her powerful voice to the song "Kaari Kaari", from Amitabh Bachchan’s next movie PINK.

From Reshma and Noor Jehan, to Adnan Sami and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, here's a list of 10 Pakistani singers who have rocked the mic in Bollywood:

1. Adnan Sami

^{Born in Pakistan, Sami was later granted Indian citizenship

Sami rose to fame in India with his album Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao with music legend Asha Bhosle. His other songs include "Sun Zara" from Lucky, "Bhar Do Jholi Meri" from Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and more.

2. Shafqat Amanat Ali

Known for his song "Mora Saiyaan" from album Khamaj, Ali stole hearts in India with "Mitwa" from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, "Yeh Honsla" from Dor, "Dil Daara" from Ra One, and "Tu Hi Mera" from Jannat 2.

3. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Qawwali singer Khan has enchanted millions of hearts since "Mann Ki Lagan" from Paap. Other notable tracks of his are "Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye" from Kalyug, "Naina" from Omkara, and "Ore Piya" from Aja Nachle.

4. Ali Zafar

5. Atif Aslam

6. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

A man that needs no introduction; his voice is considered one of the greatest ever. Khan's history in Bollywood includes singing for movies like Kachche Dhaage, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, Dillagi and Dhadkan.

7. Ustad Ghulam Ali

Ali first hit the Bollywood scene in 1982 with his song "Chupke Chupke Raat Din" from Nikaah. Other notable films he's done music for are Sabse Bada Beiman, Dada, Bengal Tiger, Aaj Ka Boss, and more.

8. Mehdi Hassan Khan

Khan's first song was "Jis Ne Mere Dil Ko Dard Diya" from 1962 film Susral. Another defining moment was when he sang "Tera Milana" with the legendary Lata Mangeshkar.

9. Noor Jehan

The "Queen of Melody" acted in pre-partition film Khandan alongside Sunil Dutt in 1942, and sang for movies like Salma and Duhai.

10. Reshma
