Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt reunite on the big screen with Jolie's third directorial venture, By The Sea amidst rumors of marital strife.
Academy Award winning actress Angelina Jolie holds many titles to her credit: actress, philanthropist, fashion icon, mother and director. Yes, that's right! Many may forget that the stylish beauty does more than act, she also directs and her third feature film directorial venture is By The Sea. The film releases in theatres in November 2015. Jolie also wrote the film as well…pretty impressive we say!
Angelina has directed several other Hollywood feature films, including: In The Land of Blood & Honey (2011) and Unbroken (2014) and a documentary A Place In Time (2007).
What's interesting? By The Sea just doesn't see Jolie in the director's seat – she will also be acting alongside her husband, Brad Pitt, a complete 10 years after the first took to the big screen with their crackling chemistry in Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). Some may even argue their relationship first started. Remember that steamy sex scene that involved them beating up each other? Yeah…we'll let you YouTube that!
As one of the most recognizable Hollywood couples in the world, and lovingly nicknamed Brangelina, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt many are excited to see the two take their real-life romance to reel-life.
By The Sea chronicles the tale of a marriage at the brink of divorce. Ironic much? Yup..especially since the state of her real-life marriage to Brad Pitt is currently under speculation by every single tabloid magazine in America.
But surely with rumors of marital separation circulating the internet, it must have been tough to enact a crumbling marriage on screen amidst all of that spectulation. In an interview with the Directors Guild Of America, Jolie opened up about what it was like working with her husband on set, and this time around, directing him: "I'd be directing myself and him in a scene where we're having a fight, and I'd be pulling out the parts [of him] that have an aggression toward me or when you're frustrated with each other — it was very heavy."

The trailer for By The Sea was released on Friday, August 6, 2015 and received a luke warm response over the weekend getting over 500,000 views on YouTube – despite the high octane and emotional glimpses we get into their onscreen marital breakdown. Drama…drama!
The film takes place in the 1970's era and follows an American writer, Roland (Brad Pitt) and Vanessa (Angelina Jolie), Roland's estranged wife, who is a former dancer. The film follows their journey and interaction as they vacation throughout Italy.
