Keep “boring” out of board games at your next party
Don’t have any romantic plans this weekend? Make them happen with some fun help from these adult party games. Skip the wine and bring a game as a party gift instead and find out if the guy or gal you’re checking out has a good sense of humour before you ask them out on a first date.
Dirty Minds
This naughty game is all about the conclusions you draw, and the cleaner your mind, the better your chance of winning. The first person to spell “D-I-R-T-Y” with cards collected by answering correctly to those suggestive clues is the winner.
Mind you, a clean mind means you might come in first place, but we’re pretty sure it’s the losers who will be having the most fun. Game includes 912 naughty clues, 304 clean answers, 35 letter cards, 15 game cards, four puzzle booklets, and four pencils.
Cards Against Humanity
Apples to Apples for grownup only, Cards Against Humanity is “a party game for horrible people.” All about filling in the blanks, this is a Madlibs on steroids for those with serious schadenfreude.
You take turns being the reader holding the story card while the gang anonymously hands you cards with suitable, or rather, not so suitable adjectives, nouns and verbs to fill in the blank.
The reader’s favourite “story” is chosen and the person who submitted it gets the “story card”. The one with the most story cards is the winner. How good are you at telling torrid tales?
50 Shades of Gray Party Game
Channel your “Inner Goddess” or “God” in this game based on the best selling 50 Shades of Grey trilogy.
Warning, the game’s set of vanilla-style questions might reveal more about your friends than you ever wanted to know. After the laughter dissipates, if the lucky player shares a card with the reader then the lucky reader wins a Goddess token. First player to collect two tokens wins. By spilling your secrets, (yup, especially that one) who knows what else you’ll win tonight?
Twister
While this isn’t exactly an “adult game” there is something really great about keeping it old-school, and even better once you’re tangled up “accidentally” with that special someone (or someones?) you’ve been eyeing all evening.
If you do get lucky on your spin, maybe you can take Mr. or Ms. Hot-Stuff home and bust out your favourite Yoga moves for the grownup version of the game, Karmasheetra.
Who’s keeping track of scores when you can spend the evening flirting harmlessly, or shamelessly with Gorgeous over there? You know you’re the one winning!
