Confused on which facial cleanser to use?
With so many formulations out there, can be difficult to decide which one would work best for you. Whether you're acne prone, have sensitive, oily, combination or dry skin, here are my favourite picks of cleansers on the market.
Acne Prone Skin
For acne prone skin, often the case found in many South Asians, I recommend Continuous Control Acne Cleanser by Clean & Clear. I love it because it has a fantastic fresh scent that goes along with the benzoyl peroxide as the medicinal ingredient to blast blemishes. It also features pore-penetrating technology, which invisibly deposits acne-fighting ingredients long after washing your face. I find that it works really well without over drying, with a price point that can’t be beat.
On the Clean & Clear website itself, you'll find kits put together to help you achieve a perfect morning and night routine.

Oily Skin
Dermalogica MediBac Clearing Skin Wash is truly amazing at eradicating acne specifically for oily adult skin, as teenage cleansers tend to be too harsh. Adult acne occurs due to poor diet, stress and hormones which causes the sebaceous glands to become overactive.
With the use of chestnut extract, sarcosine and zinc gluconate to reduce oil production, the cleanser keeps inflammation under control. Other ingredients found in the product include milk thistle, lemon and arnica. This specialized formula lasts up to 24 hours and works wonders while leaving skin glowing. Specialized kits are also available.

Normal Skin
If you are a natural ingredient lover, try the Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser. It starts of gently exfoliating like a grainy scrub and turns into a foamy lather which rinses off clean, leaving just the perfect amount of moisture. It also has a beautiful and energizing, citrus scent.
Suki Cleanser contains ingredients such as natural sugar crystals, lemongrass, as well as powdered rice. Alpha Hydroxy complexion rejuvenator is also an ingredient which, helps brighten and even out skin tone which can do wonders to accentuate the beauty of South Asian skin.

Sensitive Skin
Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser by The Body Shop is fantastic for sensitive skin. It works great for oily and combination skin as well. It can be used as a makeup remover, mask as well as a light moisturizer.
The aloe works well to keep skin in perfect condition and it is gentle enough for rosacea sufferers.

Normal to Dry
Cera Ve Cleansers are perfect for all skin types. It comes in two different formulas – normal to dry skin and oily/combination. I love the texture as it is really milky. It rinses clean leaving skin feeling fresh.
Developed by dermatologists the product contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid. Results as well as the price point is exceptional.
Try the cleanser that fits your skin type and don't forget to post a comment with your feedback.
