From fringes to tropical and architectural prints, this year’s swimsuit trends are quite splash-worthy. Here’s what caught our eye from Seasons 1 & 2 of Gionee India Beach Fashion Week 2015. Perfect for your next holiday beach vacation!

Direct from the sunny Goa, the traditional winter getaway destination for Bollywood, comes Gionee India Beach Fashion Week. Presented in two Seasons ("Season 1" and "Season 2") this is our full fashion runway report of our favorite beach, resort and cruise wear looks (even some destination wedding ensemble ideas!) direct from the sizzling ramps!

Fringe Benefits

The ‘70s boho trend is still flying strong this summer as seen at several fashion shows this year. Fringes, in particular, are spotted all over town from summer dresses to swimwear. Raakesh Agarvwal infused his collection with fringe swimsuits as did Pria Kataaria Puri who was inspired by the haute hippie trend.

Plenty of Prints

Printed swimsuits are also hot and heavy this season. Shriti Pratap also boasted a wide range of tribal prints on her bikinis, monokinis and dresses. OMANA by Harsh Agarwal also welcomed tropical prints on flat chiffons and silks. Zeel Doshi Thakkar's collection also embodied prints like the grey and white printed dhoti-style kimono.

Maxi Kimonos

While kimonos are an understated essential of swimsuit season, maxi kimonos are a hot number this year. Raakesh Agarwal, OMANA by Harsh Agarwal and Pria Kataaria Puri are among many designers at India Beach Fashion Week who glorified hot pieces of colourful kimonos to their collection. Sukriti and Aakriti Grover's collection was also infused with candy-coloured kimonos like the below baby pink ensemble.

Mad for Monokinis

I love the geometric cut-outs that monokinis seem to boast and every year it just keeps getting better. OMANA by Harsh Agarwal and Karn Malhotra showcase some of the stand-out monokinis that I have spotted. Sukriti and Aakriti's baby pink monokini was certainly a highlight of their collection. Babita Malkani's impressive array of blue monokinis certainly made heads turn and has me prepping for summer.

Chirag Nainani, Anupama Dayal and Raakesh Agarwal showcased shirt dresses that have been making their rounds since summer started. From denim to tie-dyed to full-on colour, shirt dresses are making a splash.
