Celebrate 2016 By Spreading Some #GirlLove With Superwoman
YouTube celebrity and comedian Lilly Singh, AKA Superwoman, launches the #GirlLove campaign to stop bullying and spread love among women in 2016.
As if there weren't hundreds of reasons to love Superwoman already, she gives us one more, this time with her #GirlLove Challenge.
Earlier this week, on her YouTube channel, Singh announced her new online initiative that aims to spread love and stop bullying among women. In short, it's a social media campaign that encourages women all over the world to use the hashtag #GirlLove to spread love by complimenting and supporting each other on their social feeds. This is an effort to stop the girl hate and spread love — and only love.
"As women, we know how awesome other women can be. It’s time to change the game, and know that what’s really cool is complimenting other women. Together we can show the world how lame girl on girl hate is, and how awesome it is to support one another and build women up," says Singh in her video.
And, of course, the reason isn't only to spread love with each other. The #GirlLove campaign will donate all the earnings from its video views on Singh's YouTube channel to the Malala Fund.
Joining the campaign and spreading the #GirlLove are some high-profile celebs, too.
