The Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto celebrated its final TWIFF extravaganza in true James Bond style.
It certainly was a night to remember as Toronto's most iconic and pretigious hotel, The Fairmont Royal York Hotel, entertained guests for one night of glitz and glamour with its #TWIFF3: Black & White party which was a pre-celebration to welcome the festivities surrounding the 40th Toronto International Film Festival. ANOKHI MEDIA was a proud media sponsor of the event and was happy to take part in its lavish festivities.
Held on Thursday, August 27th in the hotel's iconic Imperial Room, the party hosted some of the most notable personalities and figures in the city; all of whom pulled out all the stops when it came to their black and white themed ensembles.

The Imperial Room was the perfect setting for this lavish party as it's one of Toronto’s first nightclubs. For over 50 years, the 500-seat dining and dancing hall hosted performances by the likes of Ray Charles, Tony Bennett and Etta James, and has welcomed the Queen of England and the Royal Family many times.
Prior to the hotel’s revitalization in the 1990s, the Imperial Room was helmed by legendary show business maitre’d Louis Jenetta, who once infamously refused Bob Dylan’s entrance because he wasn’t wearing a tie. Since then, the space has been converted into a lavish meeting and gala venue while retaining its tiered setting, wooden dance floor and permanent stage.
The TWIFF3: Black & White party consisted of glamourous activation booths that allowed guests to interact with the James Bond theme in a fun and elegant way. Highlights included:
The night's main man was DJ Anti-Hero who kept the crowd on their feet all night long!

Live classical music at the entrance welcomed guests and was the perfect prelude to a wonderful evening!

The Fairmont Royal York Hotel's director of marketing and communications, Sonya Singh, was extremely pleased with the success of the evening. "I am so proud of my team this year! We put together a great SOLD OUT event that not only brought out the finest individuals in our city, but it showcased the hotel in such glamorous light. The Fairmont Royal York Hotel holds a lot of poised history in this city and it truly is a landmark. I am glad that we could host such a memorable evening for so many people and welcomed them into the historical corridors of the Imperial Room. It definitely was a night to remember!"

ANOKHI MEDIA's founder, president and CEO, Raj Girn, was also present during the evening and was decked out in a shimmering all-white ensemble, fitting for the night's black and white theme. It was a wonderful evening for Raj who shares a very strong relationship with the hotel:

The TWIFF event this year was really about the bringing together of notable individuals across different industries and communities.
