Second: I am super excited to announce 3 fabolous additions to our celebrity roster for the 12th Anniversary Event – international actor Rahul Khanna, Toronto’s Film Commissioner And Director Of Entertainment Industries Zaib Shaikh, and musical artist Amrit Dasu.

To recap: The event is taking place at the historical Fairmont Royal York Hotel lin downtown Toronto on Saturday, March 28, 2015. This star-studded event celebrates some of the world’s most renowned personalities in entertainment, fashion, media and lifestyle. The evening will begin with a red carpet celebrity reception with all of the celebrity attendees and hosts. Following that, a 3-course dinner, an awards ceremony, an exclusive industry after party and our exclusive unveiling of the commemorative coffee table book. Over 800 guests will be attending the glamorous event across all aspects of the programming.

Rahul Khanna began his career as a VJ (video jockey) with MTV Asia, and debuted with Canadian director Deepa Mehta’s Earth(earning him a Filmfare award for Best Debut (2000) among others. He has since also appeared in Deepa Mehta's 'Bollywood/Hollywood' with Lisa Ray, along with mainstream Hindi films include 'Elaan', 'Raqeeb', 'Dil Kabaddi', 'Love Aaj Kal' and 'Wake Up Sid'. International credits include 'The Emperor's Club' with Kevin Kline and the Showtime TV film 3AM starring Danny Glover. He is currently a recurring character on the hit FX spy drama, 'The Americans'. He was also critically acclaimed on stage in a the New York production of the hit West-End play, 'East is East'.
Zaib Shaikh became Toronto's new Film Commissioner and Director of Entertainment Industries in May 2014. Shaikh is a well-known actor, writer, director and producer, best known for his starring role as Imam Amaar Rashid on CBC's international hit comedy 'Little Mosque on the Prairie'. Other works include the role of Nadir Khan in Oscar-nominated director Deepa Mehta’s latest film, 'Midnight’s Children', co-producing the special Long Story Short: 'CBC Turns 75', co-writing, directing and co-producing the Gemini Award winning Television film, 'Othello, the Tragedy of the Moor'. His other television work includes lead or guest starring roles in 'Metropia', 'Murdoch Mysteries', 'Da Vinci’s City Hall' and 'The Dead Zone'. Shaikh has also worked with Canadian Stage, National Arts Centre, Globe Theatre, Grand Theatre and the Stratford Festival of Canada. Shaikh co-founded and served as an Artistic Producer for the Whistler Theatre Festival WTP in BC, was one of the Producers for the Gemini Award nominated 'Little Mosque on the Prairie' and received a Leo Award for his performance as Imam Amaar Rashid.
Amrit Dasu is a singer, songwriter & model of Indian descent, and fluent in English, Cantonese, Hindi and Punjabi. Some of his biggest influences are superstars like Michael Jackson, Chris Brown & Jay Sean. He admires the artists who have the look, the voice, the dance moves, the music, and most importantly the ability to have a positive influence on the world. Dasu’s music and modelling career took off as the face of New Era Baseball caps in all "Lids" stores across the country, and his first single off his new album called November, produced by the legendary Rishi Rich is available on Vevo and iTunes. He has released two brand new EP's in 2014 titled '1986' and 'November'.
