‘Kill Dil’ Starring Ranveer Singh & Parineeti Chopra

Kill Dil is set to be released November 14. Produced by Aditya Chopra, Kill Dil stars Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar, Rocky Verma, and Govinda. The trailer released September 17 provides a glimpse into a dark, romantic action film- with witty dialogue sure to engage movie goers in a story of deception, survival and romance. Released stills show the actors wearing black leather clothes, with Zafar in black sunglasses, each actor yielding a weapon. Viewers will see Zafar drift from his typical romantic roles to an edgier character.

Shaad Ali’s fourth film wrapped up in May, after shooting in New Delhi. Ali’s previous ventures include blockbusters like Saathiya (2002), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007).

The crew and cast got along well together during the making of the film, “Kill Dil's shoot will always hold a set of very fond memories for me,” Zafar tells Times of India. “Each one in the cast and crew made every day special. Luckily we had a mix of people who were crazy about music so we all connected through it on some other level. At times, we would be up and singing till dawn, and would have return to the sets to shoot after a few hours.”

The plot of the film revolves around Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu (Ali Zafar) who are both killers that once roamed freely in India, and Bhaiyaji (Govinda) is the man who taught them to kill. Life goes well until Disha (Parineeti Chopra) enters, and everything becomes chaotic.

This film marks the return of comedy king Hero No.1 and Coolie No. 1- Govinda, has received nothing but praise, according to Glam Sham, “Kill Dil will prove as a game-changer for Govinda. It's been a long time coming this reminder to audiences that Govinda is one of the most stellar talents that we've ever had in the film industry,” says co-star Singh.

For Parineeti, this film is an opportunity to break her girl-next-door-image (Think Daawat-e-Ishq (2014) and Hasee Toh Phasee (2013)). The actress tells Indian Express, “I am not at all the bindaas bubbly type in Shaad’s film. I am very different in Kill Dil from the way I am seen in my other films. That’s what we all from the Kill Dil team believe. So far I haven’t done anything that’s glamorous, be it Shuddh Desi Romance or Hasee Toh Phasee, I’ve so far pretty much played the normal working class girl.”
