Early morning rays can help lose weight.
By making some simple changes to your morning ritual can ensure a successful weight loss process. According to a new study from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, published in the journal PLOS ONE, getting up in the morning to catch a couple quick rays before you head off to work may help you lose weight.
Below outlines some morning weight loss practices:
Eat Breakfast
Eating breakfast is an important part of the diet, especially if you intend on shedding those extra pounds. Without breakfast, you’re more likely to gain twice as much by eating unnecessary calories throughout the day! Plus, skipping this meal will have you feeling lethargic, exhausted, and trigger the appetite-stimulating hormone, ghrelin.
Hard Boil Eggs
According to sharecare.com, an ideal breakfast for weight loss consists of protein such as eggs and any type of fruit. Eating hard boiled eggs will help curb your appetite by providing energy not to forget being rich in Omega 3s. Eggs also increase HDL (also known as the good cholesterol), selenium, folate and phosphorous. Eating protein and combining them with multi-grain toast and fruit will provide you with a balanced hearty and satisfying breakfast, making it a perfect start to the day!
Plan An Early Morning Workout
Exercise is worth waking up for. Begin the day by hitting the nearby gym, use weight machines, or take a walk around the block. It is recommended that you exercise before breakfast, this way, you will avoid gaining weight. According to the study, exercise resets the body's clock; triggering quicker and deeper sleep patterns making you feel great throughout the next day.
Drink Coffee An Hour Before Workout
While coffee is usually seen as a morning beverage, it not only holds health benefits but according to Cosmopolitan, drinking a cup of Joe will actually enhance your workout experience, providing you extra energy and stimulation to tackle your workout.
Do Cardio 30 Minutes A Day
Cardio workouts help to stimulate the heart by getting it pumping and engaging multiple muscles. There are varieties of cardio exercises to consider: treadmill, track, spinning, kick boxing and the list goes on. Each of these activities also help to tone arms, legs and core while simultaneously building strength.
