Wedding Hot Spot: Ellenborough Park
With spring approaching it means wedding season is just around the corner.
In February 24, 2014, the beautiful 15th century five star country estate, Ellenborough Park announced a new wedding package for couples who choose to have both their wedding and honeymoon all in one place. The charming estate located in the heart of Southam Ln, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire has labelled their new wedding package as the Lord and Lady Weddingmoon Package.
Ellenborough Park is known as a popular place for brides and grooms to share the celebrations of their special day. From the moment the wedding guest arrives they are greeted with gift bags filled with small treats, attractions and activity guides of the area. The new Lord and Lady Weddingmoon Package includes wedding planning services making celebrating that special day stress free.
On arrival guests are treated like royalty with a serving of afternoon tea followed by activities filled with games. A team of porters are readily on hand to help with set activities such as, croquets, archery, clay pigeon, shooting, or take you to watch any polo matches in the area, transportation included. The porters are there to plan the itinerary for you and your guest, even your bachelorette/bachelor party, if you request.

With a number of suites and reception rooms available, the manor can hold up to 140 guests for the wedding ceremony and reception. With your wedding exclusively at Ellenborough Park, you can enjoy the perks of having the wedding planner and team arrange all your final wedding details, making sure you capture those picturesque moments on the estate. For instance, making sure your guest and wedding party have access to the charming stone gazebo, a lovely spot to capture your memories.
Ellenborough Park is a primetime location near Costwolds, an area surrounded by ancient castles and other quaint picturesque villages including the location of Downton Abbey, the famous Highclere Castle where filming for the popular television show takes place.

According to Ellenborough Park website, all rooms have high definition flat screen televisions, personal safes to put your special belongings e.g., say wedding rings in safe keeping and for those very tech savvy, they have iPod docking stations. Some rooms have private patios with pool views.
Once the wedding is over, newlywed couples can then enjoy the other half of their package, the honeymoon. They’ll receive the complimentary couple’s spa package.
