Towering 400 feet above the rest of Manhattan, Sky Room is officially the highest rooftop lounge in the city with stunning 360-degree views of the skyline and the Hudson River.
Once guests step off the elevators onto the illustrious 33rd and 34th floors of the newly built Marriot Fairfield Inn and Suites Times Square they find themselves transported into an energized atmosphere with five unique spaces to explore: the Times Square Lounge, the Cube balcony, the Private Salon, the North terrace with its retractable roofs and the South Terrace amid its private cabanas.
Open from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. seven nights a week, the 5,000 square-foot venue aims to "capture the essence of Manhattan's busiest neighborhood with an elegant and relaxing [setting] that will offer guests a truly unique nightlife experience," says the Gehr Group's CEO, Norbert Gehr, who headed the project.
From the sights, tastes and sounds of Brazil on B.O.M.! Wednesdays to experiencing life as a high roller with pulsating house tracks on Jet Set Thursdays – there is an event for everyone at Sky Room.
Prices on the menu average $12 and on it you will find delicious all-American comfort foods – but with a twist. Some of their signature dishes include deep fried macaroni and cheese with a sprinkle of bacon bits and their smoking summer buns filled with BBQ glazed chicken topped with cilantro and cucumber.
And what would a scrumptious menu be without fabulous drinks? A Sky Room favourite is the Dragon Flight – Bacardi Dragon Berry and club soda mixed with fresh strawberries, mint and limes.
Sky Room is booked for several corporate events, charitable fundraisers and launch parties in the coming months – some celebs are even set to host private events, which are being kept hush-hush for now.
