If your hair is anything like mine, it starts to inflate the minute it gets humid or damp outside. This product works wonders for fighting unwanted frizz, which, unfortunately, is a possibility when you’re spending time outdoors in the summer. Just spray it on after styling as you would hairspray. It instantly softens hair, smooths down fly-aways and protects against frizz caused by humidity.

Too Faced Sugar Pop Sugary Sweet Eye Shadow Collection ($47 CDN)

Instead of trying to pack a bunch of different eye shadows, this new palette includes nine versatile, shimmery shades in one handy compact complete with its own mirror. There are three neutral shades for daytime, three darker shades for evening and three bright, candy-inspired shades for when you want to add an extra pop of colour.

Shiseido Wetforce Ultimate Sun Protection Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ ($48 CDN)

Sun protection is essential no matter where you’re going this summer. This new sunscreen from Shiseido is said to work even better when it comes into contact with moisture. It contains negative ions that bond with the positive ions in water and sweat, boosting the strength of its UV protection (hence the SPF 50+). For optimal sun protection, you should still reapply every two hours. Unlike other sunscreens, this one is also specially formulated with moisturizing skin care ingredients, making it ideal to use on your face.

Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo ($11.50 CDN for 1.7 oz.)

Dry shampoo can feel like a lifesaver when you’re on vacation and you barely have any time to freshen up before your next outing. This new dry shampoo from Moroccanoil is unique because it comes in two types: one for light hair tones and one for dark hair. Most South Asian women will probably opt for Morrocanoil Dry Shampoo Dark Tones. It contains really fine rice starches that absorb oil but break down as soon as they touch your hair, so you won’t see any of the powdery white residue that a lot of other dry shampoos leave on dark hair.

Aerin Waterlily Sun Eau de Parfum Spray ($125 CDN for 1.7 oz.)

This is the perfect scent for summer; it’s sweet and floral but still fresh. The fragrance’s top notes include Sicilian bergamot combined with the scent of lush greens, which settle into delicate notes of waterlily, jasmine sambac and sweet musk.
