5 Desi Models Who Should Be On Your Radar
The modelling scene is becoming more diverse with Desi models lighting up the runway!
Desi models are ruling the runway and are at the forefront of many high fashion shows. They've gotten some help from India’s Next Top Model putting their success on TV and making modelling prominent in the South Asian community. Many Desi models are breaking barriers, and there's no stopping these ladies.

Here are the five Desi models you need to look out for.
1. Neelam Gill

British model Neelam has already modelled for Vogue and Dior and become the first Desi model to be in Burberry and Abercrombie & Fitch ads. Neelam was also handpicked by Kanye West to be in his Adidas fashion show. She said he told her, "I find it so dope that you’re an Indian model, and you’re the only one doing it."
2. Pooja Mor

Born in Uttar Pradesh, Pooja is an engineering graduate who quit her engineering career to take up modelling. And that decision has paid off with her work for Givenchy, Calvin Klein and Stella McCartney. She shows no signs of slowing down.
3. Kelly Gale

Kelly Gale is one of the first Desi models to have walked at a Victoria's Secret fashion show. At five feet and nine and a half inches, Kelly is perfect for the catwalk. She models for Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. At just 20 years old, she's making a big name for herself in the industry.
4. Bhumika Arora

Indian runway model Bhumika always thought of herself as "really ugly," but it's her unique beauty that kicked off her catwalk debut modelling for Dries Van Noten. Since then, Bhumika has worked with Vera Wang and Roberto Cavalli.
5. Zara Peerzada

This journalism student from Lahore isn't just a pretty face. She's got beauty and brains! Discovered at the age of 18, Zara has captured the eye and lens of many photographers with her big, brown eyes and captivating looks. She's the face of the cosmetics brand Luscious and has modelled for designers like Ali Xeeshan and fashion house Muse, just to name a couple.
