We've made it to December, which means the last few Bollywood films of the year are about to come out. Both Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale have been dubbed box office hits already.
December 18th is a big day for Bollywood, with the Shah Rukh–Kajol jodi hitting the screens after five long years in Dilwale and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus film Bajirao Mastani, featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra, also releasing on the same day. Both films are set to be hits, and promotions for Dilwale have already started in the United Kingdom. But these aren't the only big films to come out in Bollywood this year.
Salman Khan gave us a double whammy of hit films with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and, more recently, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starred in ABCD 2, which was also was named a super hit at the box office.
Films like these keep audiences going, but some films aim to be hits and actually flop. Below, we look at 10 of these disappointing films that came out in 2015.

Starring: Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar
Directed by: Anurag Kashyap

Ranbir Kapoor starred in several hit films, such as Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Barfi!, so audiences were expecting a lot more from him this year. But both his films flopped. Bombay Velvet featured Ranbir as a street fighter, and it didn't do well at all at the box office. It was one of the biggest Bollywood flops of the year! It cost 110 crore to make and only bagged 23.87 crore in total.
3. Dil Dhadakne Do
Starring: Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar
Directed by: Zoya Akhtar

Dil Dhadakne Do boasts an all-star cast and had the makings of a hit. Set on a cruise ship, this film had audiences looking forward to the trip of a lifetime. But this was not to be. Observers have said the film didn't do well because it had too many stories wrapped up into one, which could be very confusing. The film's climax also received criticism. After costing 86 crore to make, the film made only 74.18 crore.
Starring: Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal
Directed by: Vikramjit Singh

Another of Ranbir's flops this year was Roy, which also starred Arjun Rampal. The songs in the film were hits such as Kanika Kapoor's "Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan" and Arijit Singh's "Sooraj Dooba Hai," but they didn't help the film at all at the box office. It only brought in 36.32 crore and cost 40 crore to make.
5. Singh Is Bling
Starring: Akshay Kumar, Sunny Leone, Amy Jackson and Prabhu Deva
Directed by: Prabhu Deva

Many people thought this was the follow-up film to Singh is Kinng, which it was not. Prabu Deva had teamed up with Akshay for the hit film Rowdy Rathore, and so most people were expecting the same from this film. Akshay even got some shots with a real lion, but this didn't help the box office earnings. The film cost the team 92 crore and brought in 74.87 crore.
Starring: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi
Directed by: Sanjay Gupta

After a five-year break, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan decided to pick Jazbaa as her comeback film — and the media went into a frenzy when they learned that she was about to hit the screens once again. Aishwarya plays a criminal lawyer and Irfan Khan plays her policeman friend. Although everyone supported the film, since it was Aishwarya's comeback, it didn't do as well as it should have. After costing 30 crore, the film only made 24.3 crore from viewings.
Starring: Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif
Directed by: Kabir Khan

Given that it stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, you'd think Phantom would be a hit straight away. If not for that reason, then the fact that the director who brought us Ek Tha Tiger also directed Phantom gave it a pretty good chance as well. But unfortunately, this film — based on the book Mumbai Avengers and set in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks — didn't do the book any justice. Of course, as a film based on something so significant in the Indian Calendar, it would be hard to persuade audiences to watch. But the trailer did give the picture a boost in the right direction. Stil, costing 70 crore, the film only made 49.84 crore at the box office.
Starring: Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan
Directed by: Nikhil Advani

Everyone knows that Kangana is a versatile actress who can pretty much take on any role. She struck gold with films such as Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. But when she teamed up with Imran, things didn't go as planned. Nikhil Advani has brought us films like Kal Ho Na Ho, Patiala House and Saalam E Ishq, but he didn't pick right when he went in for Katti Batti. The film cost 36 crore and only made 22.96 crore.
Starring: Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak
Directed by: Umesh Shukla

All Is Well is the only film that Abhishek Bachchan acted in this year, and unfortunately, the film flopped at the box office. Much like Oh My God, the film deals with a social issue through a romantic comedy twist — but this approach didn't help it gain momentum. The film did worse than most, as it cost 36 crore to make and only brought in 12.65 crore, which doesn't even make it worth talking about.
10. Shaandaar
Starring: Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt
Directed by: Vikas Bahl
